Andrew started his hotel life in his home town of Edinburgh, learning by working at Rocco Forte’s Balmoral Hotel and the Caledonian Hotel while studying Hotel Management.
In 2000 he joined the Malmaison team in Edinburgh where he worked through various roles before becoming Deputy General Manager at the hotel for 3 years. In 2006 he became General Manager of Malmaison Leeds where the hotel won Yorkshire Hotel of the Year and Andrew won an acclaimed Acorn Award.
In 2008 he headed the graduate management team at the opening of Hotel du Vin Newcastle. After the hotel had established itself in 2009, Andrew moved to Malmaison Oxford where he is now the General Manager. Outside of work he enjoys eating out, holidays in the sun and soaking up local culture.
